Opening Night 2010 (part 2)

And after you’ve perused your ER on Friday 9th, you can enjoy a melding of sounds articulate and inarticulate, live and recorded, human and otherwise, from celebrated Italian sound poets Carla Bertola and Alberto Vitacchio. Editors of the multimedia magazine ‘Special Offer’, Bertola and Vitacchio have been writing poetry since the sixties, expanding the range of their work to include visual, sound and concrete work until in the eighties they made the move into performance tout court. At the Sirius on Friday they will perform CAIRN L, an evocation of megalithic culture. Also at the SoundEye launch will be poet and artbook maker Judy Kravis, and artist Sam Forsythe, invited back on the strength of his show-stopping performance at last year’s SoundEye cabaret.
